Real Life M.C. Escher

I’ve always been captivated by the spellbinding illusions, like infinite staircases and waterfalls waterfalls that defy physics, in the art of M.C. Escher. I recently came across images of this surreal bookstore that was designed to imitate Escher’s creations. Mirrored ceilings, reflective black floor tiles, winding staircases and tall archways come together in this bookstore to create an immersive space for visitors. The mirrored ceilings also create the sense of symmetry and balance that often define Escher’s mathematically precise artworks.
